Ridware YFC news

Unfortunately the bad weather prior to Christmas meant that a couple of meetings had to be cancelled but hopefully they are back on track. There have been visits to Uttoxeter for Ten Pin Bowling in preparation for the County Ten Pin Bowling competition and a Darts and Pool Night is planned in the near future to prepare for the Darts Competition. There will also be a County Public Speaking Day early in February which is when the members of Staffordshire County Federation of Young Farmers Clubs really show what they are made of with Call My Bluff Competitions and Junior and Senior Public Speaking Competitions plus Junior and Senior Ambassadors. Meetings in the future include a Discovery Talk which is the Travel Programme run by the National Federation of YFC enabling members to have the opportunity to travel the world to such places as New Zealand, Canada, Australia, Europe and within the UK. Recent results have been good with Ridware coming 1st – Volleyball, 2nd – Pool, 2nd – Silage Judging, 2nd – County Quiz.

On the social side there will be the New Year Ball and Spring Ball – both great opportunities to put on the glamour and dance off the winter blues.

Tues 1st – Club Social Nights in the County Office, with Leek and Chase. Please attend. This is an ideal opportunity to meet other members from other clubs
Sun 6th – Public Speaking Day at the County Showground.
Wed 9th – Business Meeting and Float and Rally Discussion, Coach and Horses. 8pm. Please attend to discuss the ideas for the float, the theme is adverts
Wed 16th – Cinema Trip, Uttoxeter Cinebowl, 8pm
Thurs 17th – Semi Finals, County Darts Competition, Moddershall Cricket Club. Time TBC, Contact Matt If You Would Like To Play
Sun 20th – County Clay Pigeon Shooting Competition, Doveridge. Please Contact Alex If You Would Like To Take Part
Wed 23rd – Club Bingo, Irish Bingo and Beetle Drive. Prizes to be won, and surprises in store. Venue TBC

Accolade for AB Junior Football Club

The FA Charter Standard assures players that they can enjoy training and matches in a well run and safe environment under the supervision of F.A. qualified coaches for all age groups.

ABJFC has their own Code of Conduct with volunteers CRB checked and trained in Emergency First Aid and Safeguarding Children.

Congratulations to all who have worked hard to make this happen!
