Best Kept Village Poster Competition

The winners of the 2013 poster competition were announced at the Abbots Bromley Parish Council meeting on 24th April:

3-4 years:
* Harriet French (Roch House)

5-7 years:
* 1st prize – Oscar Green (Richard Clarke)
* 2nd prize – Susie Catterall (Rchard Clarke)
* Highly Commended – Isabel Stevenson (Roch House)

8-11 years:
* 1st prize – Ruby Kumar (Roch House)
* 2nd prize – Matthew Jackson (Richard Clarke)
* Highly Commended: – Hattie Lulzeman (Roch House)

The posters will be on display at various points around the village over the period of the “Best Kept Village” competition.

Horn Dance Sunday Special

The famed Horn Dancers are supporting the St Nicholas Church Fund Raising efforts by performing from 1pm to 6.15pm calling at all four pubs and The Ruchi during the afternoon.

PLEASE COME AND SHARE IN THIS UNIQUE EVENT

Bring your family, tell your friends to come too. We want to fill the village on this day. Enjoy Sunday lunch. You will be able to dance with the Horn Dancers! YES!! Become a Horn Dancer yourself for just £5 per dance. All proceeds going to St Nicholas Church, Abbots Bromley.

Times may vary…1-1.15 pm The Crown, then The Coach and Horses, followed by The Goat, The Bagot Arms and The Ruchi, returning to The Crown for 6.15pm approx. An hour at each venue.

Eat, drink, dance and have a good fun time.
