Finfest 2014
February 2013 Chris ‘Fin’ Findley was killed whist trying to do the right thing – break up a fight between a male and two females. He was struck from behind and kicked whilst on the floor he sustained life threatening Brain injuries and died a week later after spending the time in an induced coma. Fin was a serving Police Officer and only 33 years old. Finfest is a celebration of Fin’s life and we are raising money for the Brain and Spine Foundation who support people who’s lives are affected by injuries such as those Fin sustained.
Finfest has some fantastic bands including 90’s legend: Dodgy, John Power from Cast and The La’s, Mark Morriss from the Bluetones, Luke Concannon from Nizlopi and many many more. There are over fifty bands across three stages and two days, Friday the 19th and Saturday the 20th September. Weekend camping tickets are only £30 for adults!
There will be a mobile climbing wall and bouncy castle for the kids and a little festival village supplying all your festival needs!
It promises to be a fanastic event and we are delighted to be hosting it in Abbots Bromley!
See you down the front! X
Open Gardens – Sunday 6th July 2014
Last year was a huge success and so popular for locals and visitors to the village, that we had to do it again! We were blessed with a beautiful, calm and sunny day last year and we hope for a repeat of the same.
The gardens will be open from approx. 2 pm to 5 pm and tickets can be bought from local businesses, and from Anthea, Gill and Maureen by phoning (01283) 840624, 840208 and 840936 respectively.
Tickets cost £2.50 each.
We hope to see you in the gardens and the village!
