Trustee Vacancy for Abbots Bromley Hospital (Almshouses)

Almshouses Abbots Bromley Hospital on Bagot Street in Abbots Bromley has eight self-contained dwellings providing convenient, comfortable and secure accommodation for people who would be unable to fund a property from their own resources and who have a connection to Abbots Bromley, Dunstall, Newborough or Yoxall.

The Charity is seeking to fill a vacancy for a voluntary trustee to join the five current trustees. Abbots Bromley Hospital trustees are responsible for the governance, finances, administration and operation of the charity, including arranging the maintenance of the properties and the welfare of the residents. They meet around three times a year, as well as consulting and liaising by email between meetings.

The Trust seeks diverse trustees from a range of backgrounds bringing relevant skills and knowledge to support the charity. In the near future, changes to governance structure are contemplated and a possible re-modelling project for two of the properties, so skills particularly sought are a knowledge of charity governance working, or property skills, or charity financial understanding.

Applications should include a CV and a short letter explaining why you are interested in becoming a trustee. Applications should be sent to The Administrator, Abbots Bromley Hospital Office, Abbots Bromley Hospital, Bagot Street, Abbots Bromley WS15 3BZ.

The closing date is 31 January 2019.
