The friendliest village?

Published 7 November 2013

I am a researcher at Studio Lambert, a television production company based in London. We are currently developing a new series for C4 to uncover Britain’s best villages.

We’re looking for Britain’s friendliest village, who will welcome our judges and convince them that they are Britain’s best. Our series would be a new way of celebrating Britain’s villages and rural communities, showcasing their friendliness, community spirit and local amenities. The general tone of the series will be light, entertaining, character driven and heart-warming.

As this is still in the development stage (so not for broadcast), we’re just looking to speak to a few villages who may be interested in taking part in this type of series (should it be commissioned). Looking at Abbots Bromley’s website, it seems that you are an exceptionally vibrant village, so I’d love to speak to someone in the village about village life.

In keeping with the rest of Studio Lambert’s output (like the Secret Millionaire, Undercover Boss and Gogglebox) we
really want this to be a positive and entertaining series.

If you can think of anyone in the village who may be happy to chat to me about Abbots Bromley – particularly if they’re involved with local groups I’d love to speak to them. You can call me on 0207 534 2012.

Ellie
