Neighbourhood Development Plan Group meeting (Public Session)

Topic: ‘Progress update and the next steps’

It is imperative that public opinion is taken into account when producing a Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP).

The group are pleased to inform residents that a professional Consultant has been brought in to support the ongoing process of creating the parish NDP.

An initial review by the Consultant of the 2015-2018 evolving Draft Plan has detailed significant areas that will need to be improved upon. This is in accord with an earlier Independent Consultant report sanctioned by the Parish Council in 2018.

The programmed NDPG meeting for June 2019 will be used to discuss with residents the contents of the report, and the resulting recommendations. This is an opportunity to ask any unanswered questions that you may have; and also a chance help shape the key policies within the plan as we look to bring the consultant more fully onboard.

Please come along and contribute to these discussions.

Emergency Closure of Mill Green Lane – May 2019

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Staffordshire County Council being the highway authority responsible for the repair and maintenance of Mill Green Lane in Abbots Bromley are satisfied that it is necessary to close to all vehicular traffic that length of Mill Green Lane for the extent between the junctions with the Lichfield Road for a period of 21 days from the date of this Notice because of the likelihood of danger to the public during urgent utilty works being undertaken by South Staffordshire Water.

Access will be available for pedestrians and for vehicles being used in connection with the works and for vehicles requiring access to premises on the length of road which is closed.

Access for emergency services vehicles will be available via the alternative route. An alternative route for traffic is available via Mill Green Lane, Lichfield Road and vice versa.

IT IS ANTICIPATED THAT THE CLOSURE WILL BE IN PLACE BETWEEN 14:00hrs on13th May 2019 AND 17:00hrs on 17th May 2019.

The restriction may if necessary be extended for one further period of up to 21 days by the publication of a second Notice.

Neighbourhood Development Plan Group meeting (Public Session)

Topic: Housing Needs Analysis

It is imperative that public opinion is taken into account when producing a Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP).

Since November 2018 the Abbots Bromley NDPGroup has invited the public to attend the first programmed group meeting of the month.

These meetings have proved popular, allowing the group to include the public in discussions on a specific topic relevant to the production of the Parish NDP.

If you are unable to attend these meetings, please submit your written views/opinions on the topic to the NDPG by dropping off at ‘Top Shop’ (Cash Stores) or The NDPG Secretary, Callander House, Bagot Street, AB.

Notice of these meetings is currently available on the Abbots Bromley.com website; social media; notice-boards throughout the village; NDP minutes; Parish News; Bromley Bulletin (as available).
