Abbots Bromley Annual Parish Assembly – 23 May 2018

Tea and coffee will be available from 6.30pm and the councillors will be present if you would like to discuss any issues with them informally beforehand. There will also be visual displays by the Abbots Bromley Neighbourhood Plan Group.

Act now against dog fouling

Members of the public are encrouaged to report any instances directly of dog fouling direct to ESBC on 01283 508036 or community.civil_enforcement@eaststaffsbc.gov.uk.

Generally the type of information they ask for residents to provide is as follows:

  • Description of owner
  • Description of dog
  • Approximate times when the dog is walked
  • Route where the dog is walked
  • Street name where the owner resides, if known

Reservoir Causeway Closure – 25 March 2018

Staffordshire County Council have advised that the B5013 will be closed overnight on 25th March 2018.

This is necessary to allow re-surfacing of the causeway across Blithfield Reservoir.

A diversion via Lichfield Road and Armitage will be signed.

January 2018 Library Consultation

Although the County Council has reduced costs by more than £200m over the last seven years, we need to find new ways for the 20 County Council Managed and Delivered Libraries and the Mobile and Travelling Library Service to operate within the reduced budget available.

If you live in Abbots Bromley Parish and are passionate about how it can both be protected and enhanced for the future then we need to hear from you. It’s an exciting time for the plan as we are currently working on the first draft to get ready for consultation so you can have a real influence on this vital step.

How to apply:
If you wish to be considered then please e-mail (address above) by 5pm Monday 29th January 2018. It would be helpful if you could provide a short summary of your background and what aspects of the NDP you are most interested in.

Given the stage that we have reached in terms of the drafting of the plan we would particularly like to hear from anyone with experience/knowledge/access to computer publishing packages and knowhow!

Once expressions of interests have been received by the deadline they will be notified to the Parish Council for consideration at the 31st January meeting.
